eco@jumrum is situated in the elevated heights of cosmopolitan Kuranda just moments from the idyllic rainforest village itself. Directly across the road is the Kuranda Recreation Centre with bar and sports facilities for members and their guests.
Kuranda is less than 30km from Cairns, gateway to the far north. Accessed by the Kennedy Highway and the world famous Kuranda Scenic Railway and Skyrail Rainforest Cableway, Kuranda is surrounded by a World Heritage listed wet tropics rainforest that includes twelve hundred species of flowering plants, eight hundred of which are rainforest trees. There are also orchids, ginger plants, strangler figs, palms and an immense variety of climbing plants.
Nearby Barron Gorge National Park is a spectacular geological feature of the Wet Tropics World Heritage Area and the centre of a fascinating network of historic trails, developed by the Djabugay Aboriginal people, including Jumrum Creek Walk through Jumrum Creek Regional Park.
